1993-1994 - The management of loans was manual, so the need was identified with software that would keep track of bibliographic information of all materials, loans and renewals that they had; as well as users who could access them. That was how the Ing. Laura Tapia was required to develop the software for the campus library. At this stage, each campus administered local information. Software development required a thorough knowledge of all library procedures, so that the creation of the structure took about a year.

1997 - He began using the Unicorn program to automate processes of all campus libraries; however, because it was too much information that was to be kept at the system level, the program did not work and a new software that will support the necessary requirements are sought.

1998-1999 - The selection of new software for all libraries in the system is done with the help of many collaborators of libraries, including the director of the Campus Library.

The then Dean of the downtown area, including Leon, Irapuato, Querétaro, Pachuca and San Luis Potosi campus pioneered the implementation of the Unicorn and Millenium systems.

Taking into account all relevant considerations, information from bibliographic records are migrated to the new system, called Millennium, which allowed integrate all internal processes of the Library: Acquisitions, cataloging and circulation, sharing and opening records specific interfaces for each function. This software was adopted by all libraries Tec system and allow synchronization with the catalog, which facilitated the search for users, enabling the existence of the material displayed in any of the campus and its corresponding status. You could search by topic, keyword, subject, author, title, ISBN and classification. However, access to databases through the catalog was developed gradually, as would appear appropriate technological facilities; because as mentioned, some digital databases via the Internet had and other recorded disc with annual updates.
